SwimmingFishies.com is an aquarium hobby site: species care notes, setup guides, and gear commentary for people who keep fish in glass boxes of water — freshwater community tanks, goldfish that actually need filtration, and modest saltwater setups.

How we write care notes

We follow conservative hobbyist consensus: fishless cycling when you can wait, adult size instead of cute juveniles, groups for schooling fish, and tank volumes that err large. We do not invent survival statistics or ranking scores. Individual fish, tap water, and husbandry still vary — test, observe, and read more than one source.
